In 2006, the Firm joined forces with Crowell, Susich, Tackes & Griffin, Ltd., a full-service Carson City law firm that has been practicing in Nevada for more than 50 years. This combination has provided the Firm with the additional expertise of six attorneys and a Carson City office to expand its practice and augment its Las Vegas and Reno offices.

Also in 2006, Kummer Kaempfer’s Reno office moved to a new, expanded space to accom­modate its growing practice. The new office occupies nearly 10,000 square feet and is easily accessible to the U.S 395 Freeway and is centrally located in the dynamic south Reno business and commercial area, with easy access to the Firm’s growing Reno-Carson City area clientele.

In Las Vegas, a new office in the northwest part of Las Vegas was opened to accommodate the Firm’s land use and governmental affairs practice, also growing at a steady pace. The office is staffed by a team of attorneys with extensive experience in zoning, gaming, licensing and government relations law.

ROBERT CROWELL serves as C0-Chair of the government relations practice at Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario. Crowell has been practicing law with the firm since 1973 in a wide variety of civil matters, with particular emphasis on government relations, legislative affairs, transportation, public utilities and insurance law. Mr. Crowell earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Hastings College of the Law. He has testified before numerous agencies and legislative committees as an expert in the fields of insurance, public utility and transportation law. Mr. Crowell is a past president of the State Bar of Nevada having served on its Board of Governors for seven years. Mr. Crowell is past president of the five member Nevada Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Board, past chairman and member of the Colorado River Commission (a gubernatorial appointment, the agency oversees Nevada's share of water and power from the Colorado River); past vice president of the Nevada Opera Association; and, is currently serving as an elected trustee of the seven member Carson City School Board. Mr. Crowell is a member of Rotary, Elks, Mason, HealthSmart and SAR. He has served as private counsel to several governors of Nevada. A Vietnam veteran, Mr. Crowell is a retired Captain in the Naval Reserve.
